Continuous Improvement Module
Principles of Continuous Improvement
Continuous Improvement is a proactive effort to enhance customer satisfaction through incremental improvements to an organization’s services and processes. The primary means to accomplish this goal is through the relentless pursuit and elimination of waste, or non-value added activity, in a process. This module will provide a solid background of the continuous improvement principles, techniques and tools that will be the foundation for subsequent modules.
Performance Objectives

- Understand the origins of lean philosophy and continuous improvement
- Examine program goals based upon the organizations current strategic plan
- Learn the terminology and methods associated with continuous improvement
- Open their mind to change and working in cross functional teams
- Identify and rank potential improvement opportunities within the workplace
