Six Sigma for Healthcare
Six Sigma is a methodology that utilizes statistics to measure, reduce, and control variation in healthcare processes, with a focus on reducing costs or saving lives.
Whether your organization manufactures parts or provides healthcare, Six Sigma offers an analytical approach to detect and eliminate defects in either goods or services at every opportunity in the process.
Performance Objectives
Helps Associates:
- Learn the background, strategies, and metrics of Six Sigma
- Learn basic Six Sigma tools that can be applied anywhere in the organization where mistakes are costing lives, jobs or money
- Empower and motivate employees to do things in new ways
Course Overview
Learners will discover how to develop a project charter including a purpose, deliverables, and resource needs so that it aligns with the organization’s strategic plan. Upon completion of the training session, learners will be able to determine if a potential improvement project is viable for using the Six Sigma methodology.
You will gain knowledge on the following topics:
- Creating the Six Sigma Project Charter
- Hearing the Voice of the Customer
- Process Mapping Tools
- Tools for Determining Root Cause
- Basic Quantitative (Statistical) Tools
- The Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control Phases of Six Sigma
